I love them for so many reasons
- Professional Discounts for Artists in the industry up to 30% off
- Phenomenal Customer Service
- Great Warranty
I literally own four of them. The first one I ever purchased was the Zuca Sport, when I was employed with MAC Cosmetics. MAC had a contract with Zuca at the time and and would customize the Zuca bags with their logo emblazoned on the front. One point to consider is that the sport version is wider than the regular bag and does not fit in the over head carry compartment when traveling by plane.
All Zuca’s can hold over 300 lbs! This is especially convenient when you are traveling in airports and there is nowhere to sit, just sit on your Zuca! I currently use the Zuca Sport for all of my Eyebrow and Facial Waxing Essentials. It holds:
- Wax Pot Warmer
- Wax Muslin Strips
- Cuticle Waxing Sticks
- Popsicle Waxing Sticks
- Mascara Wands
- Waxing Creams
- and all of the best eyebrow cosmetic products you can think of!
I also own two of the Zuca Pro’s. These are ideal for air travel because they do fit in the over head carry compartment. These bags are much slimmer compared to the sport version and you don’t have to worry about checking them in when traveling!
Pro Tip: When traveling, remember to put all of your fluids and liquids in the 3 ounce containers and store them in the clear bags that the Zuca does come with* (*you are also able to purchase more in addition to the four that it comes with).
Just pull out the clear storage bags and place them in the buckets when gong through airport security! One of the two Zuca Pro’s I own is specifically for beauty. I keep all of my clear storage bags labeled and organized from top to bottom in the order of my makeup applications.
The first bag on top is labeled “Skincare” and contains the following:
- Makeup Wipes and Removers
- MAC Fix +
- Face Moisturizers for All Skin Types
- Eye Creams
- Face and Foundation Primers
- Lip Conditioners
- Eye Drops Strictly Marked as Lubricating Safe for Contacts
- Shaving Cream and Razors for Men’s Grooming
- Body Lotion and Oil
- Benadryl gel and Cortisone for Breakout Emergencies
- Setting Sealer Spray
The second storage bag that I keep under the “Skincare” bag is the foundations bag. This bag contains:
- All Liquid and Cream Foundations
- Highlight and Contouring Emollient Products
- Gleaming Products to Add Iridescence and Shimmer to the Skin
- Basically anything for Perfecting the Complexion
The third storage bag is my powders bag! This bag contains:
- Blotting Powders
- Setting Translucent Powders
- Iridescent Shimmer Powders
- Powder Compacts that have more coverage
- Bronzer and Shading Powders
The fourth storage bag is my pigments bag! This bag contains:
- A Variety of Pigment Brands
- Pure Concentrated Powdered Pigments
- Glitters in all Shades and Colors
The fifth clear storage bag is my Airbrush bag. This bag contains:
- Temptu Air Airbrush Makeup System
This system is ideal for bridal and editorial natural Makeup’s. Only for the face. It is easy to use and clean as the foundations come in pods that connect to the airbrush compressor so there is vey little cleaning and preparing your Airbrush gun as it is not needed.
The sixth storage bag is my Chroma Cakes bag. These are cream compact products in a variety of colors which need to be activated with water to be able to use on the face and the body. Ideal for beauty, fashion, editorial and avant garde body makeup designs for Halloween.
If I have a job that requests me to do beauty makeup and hair. I will usually also bring the Zuca Artist backpack which sits perfectly on top of the Zuca Pro. This bag is ideal because it has clear storage bags for all of your hair-styling products and tools. Additionally it also has thermal protectant lining built into the sides.
So if you are in a hurry off o the next job and your curling or flat irons are still hot, you can place them in the bag and it will not damage anything in your bag!
For beauty I also use a MAC briefcase. The MAC Cosmetics Pro System is amazing because they offer a 40% discount to their professional artists! I use this bag to store:
- Lip Liners
- Lip Glosses
- Eye Liner Gels
- Eyebrow Products
- False Lashes
- Eyeshadow Primers
- Liquid Eyeliners
- Eyelash Glue
…and some extra crafty textures like foil, studs or gems which I typically save for avant garde or editorial makeup.
I also have all of my eyeshadow, blush and highlight shading palettes. In addition to that I create my own cream palettes.
I collect all of my favorite red lipstick tubes, nude lipstick tubes, brown lipstick tubes, pink lipsticks tubes and I depot them with a spatula and scrape them out placing them inside a clear Tupperware organizer. Then I mush them all in side each square and blow dry it down.
Once I am done with each color I place in the fridge to cool down and I redo this every two years.
Pro Tip: These cosmetics only have a two year shelf life because they contain water and cosmetics that have water can go rancid. You can smell them when they go bad.
I do the same thing with cream foundations. I depot them and create a whole new palette with them. I do this because it is much easier to travel with palettes then carrying several full glass containers that they originally come packaged in.
Finally, we are on the second Zuca Pro rolling case! This Zuca is for Special FX and body makeup. This contains:
- A Larger Airbrush Compressor made my Iwata
- Airbrush Guns and Hoses
- Airbrush Liquid Paints in Alcohol Base, Water Base and Silicone Base
…additionally this bag contains more cream alcohol base body makeup brands and tattoo products that are temporary. It also contains:
- Spirit Gum
- Morticians Wax
- Fake Blood
- Vampire Teeth
- Silicone Transfers and Halloween Contacts
This Zuca is for more advanced makeup design typically for Halloween. I highly recommend purchasing renters or home owners insurance on your kit to protect and have some kind of coverage if it were to ever be stolen and lost!
